The FMX Intune Integration brings together your organization’s device and user data from Microsoft Intune directly into FMX. This makes it easier to manage 1:1 device programs, assign devices to users, and create tickets for IT needs—all from one unified platform. Pairing this integration with SSO enables truly streamlined onboarding and access control, ideal for education and IT environments.

What You’ll Unlock

1. Requirements

  • FMX Account (with 1-to-1 Asset Manager & IT Ticketing modules recommended)
  • Microsoft Intune for device and user management
  • SSO (Single Sign-On) is strongly recommended for seamless user provisioning

2. FMX Setup

  • Create an Integration User Type
    • Go to Admin Settings → User Types
    • Create (or copy) a user type (e.g., “FMX Integration”) with:
      • Building & Resource Access
      • Equipment Access
      • User & Contact Access
      • Permitted on all needed custom fields
    • Tip: How to Customize User Access
  • Add Required Custom Fields
    • Equipment Items:
      • Device ID (Text)
      • Link to Intune (Text/URL)
    • Users:
      • Link to Intune (Text/URL)
      • Optional: Business Phone, Job Title, Language, etc.
    • Ensure these fields are accessible for the FMX Integration user type.

  • Add/Update Equipment Types
    • Confirm you have an Equipment Type in FMX for each Intune group you want to sync
    • Tip: Add Equipment Types

3. Intune (Azure) Setup

  • Register FMX Application in Azure Portal
    • Go to Azure Portal → Search “Intune” → Microsoft Entra ID → App registrations
    • Register a new Web application, set redirect URI: https://oauth2.prismatic.io/callback
    • Save your Client ID and Client Secret
  • Configure API Permissions
    • Grant the following permissions for both Delegated and Application types:
      • DeviceManagementApps.Read.All
      • DeviceManagementManagedDevices.Read.All
      • Directory.Read.All
      • Group.Read.All
      • GroupMember.Read.All
      • User.Read.All
      • offline_access
  • Enroll Devices/Users in Intune
    • Make sure devices and users are properly enrolled and organized in device/user groups for mapping in FMX
