Troubleshooting

Common Issues

  • I do not see Custom Dashboards in Reporting
    • Cause: The feature may not be enabled for your organization, or you may not have the right access.
    • Fix: Confirm you can access Reporting, then contact your FMX administrator. They will need to enable the view dashboard permission for your user type.
  • I can view a dashboard but cannot edit it
    • Cause: By default, dashboards can only be edited by their creator.
    • Fix: Create your own dashboard, or ask the dashboard creator to make the changes.

⚠️ Warning: Some widget options depend on which FMX modules are enabled for your organization and what data exists in your system.

FAQ

  • How do widget filters affect what viewers see
    • Widget filters limit the dataset used by the widget. Viewer filter options are designed to respect the widget creator’s filters.
  • Can I export or print a Custom Dashboard
    • Export and print are not currently available for Custom Dashboards.
  • Can I give someone else edit access to my dashboard
    • Sharing ownership or edit rights is not currently available. Dashboards can only be edited by their creator.
  • Can I use Utilities custom fields in dashboards
    • Limited utilities custom fields can be available in the widget builder when they are marked Show in reporting and when utilities custom field reporting is enabled for your organization. Supported usage depends on the custom field type (currency, number, date, and checkbox).
  • Why do I not see all of my data in custom dashboards
    • Custom dashboards can currently be built with limited Work Manager and Utility Manager data (when modules are enabled). New data will continue to be added to this experience.
