District 214 would like to formally request the ability to scan third-party QR/asset tags directly within the FMX platform.
We are currently working with McKinstry, and many of our assets already have third-party QR codes applied. Being able to scan those existing tags directly into FMX would be a significant workflow improvement for our team. Without this functionality, we are faced with either re-tagging assets or managing parallel tracking systems, which creates additional time and administrative burden.
We have implemented similar capabilities with other CMMS vendors in the past, and it has proven to be both practical and highly effective. Incorporating third-party QR code compatibility into FMX would allow us to fully leverage our current asset tagging system while maximizing the efficiency of the platform.
This enhancement would provide meaningful value to our operations, and we believe it could benefit other clients in similar situations as well. We appreciate your consideration as you evaluate future product development priorities.
