See the latest features and improvements released between April and June 2025, including powerful new Work Prioritization tools, field-ready Inspections, a self-serve Form Builder, mobile labor tracking enhancements, and more.

Work Prioritization

Make sure the right work gets done first, with no guesswork.

Say goodbye to sticky notes, custom fields, and urgency defined by whoever shouts the loudest. With FMX’s new Work Prioritization feature, you can define, track, and enforce urgency across every department.

Here’s what’s new:

  • Flexible, Standardized Priority Levels: Use clearly defined, color-coded defaults (Low, Medium, High, and Urgent), or customize up to 10 priority levels to match your organization’s unique workflows.
  • Visual Tags: Priorities show up clearly in ticket views and in grid view, so no task gets lost in the shuffle.
  • Cross-Module Consistency: IT, Facilities, Custodial. No matter the team, everyone follows the same system.

Inspections

Create, complete, and document inspections more easily than ever.

Inspections are a critical part of keeping buildings, vehicles, and equipment safe and compliant, but traditional checklists and paper forms often slow teams down. FMX’s new Inspections feature brings flexible, field-ready inspections into your existing Work Tasks.

Here’s what’s new:

  • Built-In Form Builder: Admins can now create inspection forms directly within FMX using a drag-and-drop builder. No third-party tools or workarounds required.
  • More Field Types: Use pass/fail, condition ratings (like Good, Fair, Poor), dropdowns, numeric fields, and photo or comment fields to match real-world inspection needs.
  • Optional and Conditional Steps: Make steps skippable or show them only when relevant. This keeps inspections clear and focused for technicians in the field.
  • Tied to Work Tasks: Each inspection is linked to the task it's part of. That means no more guessing where data lives or manually tracking follow-ups.
  • Exportable Records: Every inspection execution is logged and can be exported at any time to support audits, reviews, or internal reporting.

With FMX Inspections, your team can stay organized, reduce risk, and complete inspections with greater accuracy and less effort.

Form Builder

Customize forms your way, without the wait.

Configuring forms used to be slow and technical. Now, it’s quick, intuitive, and completely in your hands. FMX’s new Form Builder gives Admins the ability to build, edit, and preview forms with zero hassle.

Here’s what’s new:

  • Drag-and-Drop Interface: Create, edit, and reorder form fields with ease using a simple visual builder.
  • Real-Time Previews: See what your forms will look like for different user roles before anything goes live.
  • Self-Serve Configuration: Make changes any time without needing to contact FMX Support. Full control is now at your fingertips.
  • Centralized Access: All form customization is now housed in one place under Admin Settings, making updates easier than ever.
  • Adaptable for Any Workflow: Whether you're in education, State and Local Government, or any complex environment, Form Builder helps you tailor FMX to your exact needs.

With Form Builder, you get the flexibility to create forms that work the way you do—fast, intuitive, and fully in your control.

Mobile App Update: Start/Stop Labor Tracking

Track time on the go, right from your pocket.

Start/Stop Labor Tracking has been helping teams capture accurate work time in FMX, and now, it's available in the FMX mobile app.

Technicians can now record time spent on resolutions, executions, and responses without ever leaving the job site. Just open the task, tap Start, and when you're done, tap Stop. That’s it.

What’s new:

  • Mobile-Friendly Time Tracking: Log work hours from any task using the built-in clock on the FMX mobile app
  • Task-Based Recording: Easily track time on resolutions, PM executions, and response actions
  • Accurate Labor Data: Improve visibility into actual time spent on work, for better reporting and accountability
  • No Extra Steps: The clock is integrated directly into each task. One tap to start, one tap to stop

This enhancement helps your team spend less time logging hours and more time doing what they do best.
