FMX's new Project Overviews feature allows organizations to manage their projects in one aggregated place within a work request module. This allows you to build complex dependencies between tasks, visualize your projects in a Gantt chart, and compile a grid of all associated requests in one view.
Please get in touch with your Customer Outcome Manager to enable the Project Overviews feature.
Once the feature is enabled, you'll need to configure a few settings:
Admin Settings: General Tab
- Click on Admin Settings on the left sidebar.
- You will be brought to the General tab. Scroll to the Request Settings menu for the module you want to enable Project Overviews. Click the module name to expand the menu.
- Check the box next to Is project module.
- Ensure a module is listed in the Request relationships field. We recommend you list the project module itself.
- Scroll to the bottom of the page and click Save.
Admin Settings: User Types Tab
- Assuming you are still in the Admin Settings, click the User Types tab at the top of the page.
- Click the Edit icon for the user type you wish to update.
- Click the title of the first section on the page, User Type, to expand the menu.
- Check the box for Can access project management.
- Ensure that either "View" or "Edit" is enabled for both the Request association access and Parent and children access fields (soon to be renamed to Primary & Sub requests). "Edit" is recommended for any user responsible for creating projects in FMX.
- Scroll to the bottom of the page and click Save.
