This guide will walk you through downloading, accessing, and navigating the FMX Go mobile app.

Downloading and Accessing the App:

  1. Open the App Store (on iOS) or Play Store (Android) and search for "FMX Go"

  2. Once installed, open the FMX Go app and enter your "Hostname"

    • This is the part of your FMX URL that comes before .gofmx.com.

    • For example, if your FMX URL is yourcompany.gofmx.com, then your hostname is yourcompany.

  3. Finally, follow the prompts to login to FMX as you would normally using the pop-up screen.

    • Logging in with Single-Sign-On (such as your Google or Microsoft account) may require two-factor authentication

    • This screen should close after you complete your login
    • Hitting cancel at any time will cancel the login process and require you to perform it again

Navigating the Home Screen:

Once you have successfully logged in, you will be taken to the FMX Go home screen. This screen provides quick access to your most important information.

  • Recently viewed: At the top of the screen, you'll see "Recently Viewed." This section displays the five requests and tasks you have viewed most recently, allowing you to quickly jump back to them.

  • My shortcuts: The central part of the home screen is occupied by four helpful widgets:

    • Recent: Displays requests and tasks assigned to you within the last seven days.
    • Nearby: Shows requests and tasks closest to your current location. This requires location services to be enabled in the app permissions and addresses added to buildings within FMX.
    • Overdue: Lists requests and tasks that are past their due date.
    • On Hold: Shows requests and tasks that have been marked with the "On Hold" status.
  • Navigation Bar: Along the bottom of the screen, you'll find the following navigation buttons:

    • Home: This button returns you to the home screen with the shortcuts and widgets.
    • To-Do List: This takes you to a complete list of requests and tasks assigned to you.
    • Search: Allows you to perform a site-wide search for records within FMX, including requests, tasks, buildings, equipment, inventory, and users.
    • QR Scanner: This enables you to scan FMX-provided QR codes to quickly access specific records.
    • Settings: This provides access to app settings, where you can change the app's appearance, enable location services, provide feedback, and log out.

Performing Actions in the App:

FMX Go offers several convenient ways to interact with requests and tasks:

  1. Plus Button (Home Screen): From the home screen, you can create new requests and equipment. Other record types (such as Planned Maintenance Tasks, Inventory, etc.) cannot be created at this time, but will be coming a future update.
  2. Quick Actions (To-Do List): While viewing requests and tasks in your To-Do List, you can swipe a card to the left to access quick action options. These actions may vary depending on the specific request or task.

  3. Action Button (Request/Task View): When viewing a specific request or task, tap the action button located in the bottom right corner of the screen. This will bring up a list of all available actions for that item.
