Create a New Work Order From a Planned Maintenance Task Occurrence

Users can now create a new work request directly from a planned maintenance task occurrence. Key details are then pre-filled in the new request including:

  • Building
  • Equipment
  • Associated Planned Maintenance Task Occurrence

How it works?

Users who have the ability to create a work order from a Planned Maintenance Occurrence will see a "plus sign" icon that they can select to create a new "associated request".  Either go to the Planned Maintenance  "Occurrences" grid view or the calendar to find the occurrence you would like to create the work order for.

Then click the new associated request button. You will get a dropdown where you can select what work order it will be (if multiple modules are enabled.) When on the grid view a new popup will appear in the grid for you to fill out. The building and equipment(if used) will be prepopulated on the new work order. Then fill out the work order and hit submit. These requests will be associated together and a link will appear back to each other on the requests.

Setup

To enable this feature first go to the "Admin Settings". Once in the general settings go to the "Planned Maintenance Settings" and select the module(s) that you would like to create associated requests from.

While still in the general section of the admin settings next go to the work request settings section of the module you would like to create from a planned maintenance task occurrence (Maintenance Requests, Technology Requests, etc...). You can do this for multiple work request modules if you would like. Then add "Planned Maintenance" from the drop down menu.

Once you have done this in the General section of the admin settings, go to the "User Type" section. Then select the edit button of the user type you would like to enable this for. In the first section named "User Type" you will see "View request associations" and "Associate requests."  Each of these need to be changed from none to either "Any" (all requests), "Accessible Buildings" (only your accessible buildings) or "Own" (only requests you have submitted).

**Additionally users will have to have the ability to create a work request (from the module(s) you connected to planned maintenance) in order to create one from a planned maintenance task occurrence .**
