Take a look at the new features released between January - March 2023, including NEW In-Grid Actions, NEW Reassign Action, enhanced Community Registration settings, Scheduling Periods, and more.
NEW In-Grid Actions
Within Work Requests, Transportation Requests, Schedule Requests, and Work Task Occurrences, users can now Assign, Reassign, Place On-Hold, Resolve, Respond, Edit, or Reopen tasks right from the Grid instead of reloading the ticket on a separate screen. This feature is standard and does not need to be set up by the individual site.
NEW Reassign Action
Users can now easily reassign work tasks and occurrences if the initial assignment needs to be updated or changed. For example, if an employee leaves the organization, those open tasks can be reassigned to someone else. This feature is standard and does not need to be set up by the individual site.
Edit Finalized or Completed Work Requests
Users with permission edit after resolution can now edit finalized, pending finalization, and completed work requests. This will not alter approvals and approval state for the request. If a request has been edited, users will see a banner message alerting them to the edit.
How to set it up:
- Navigate to Admin Settings
- Navigate to User Types
- Choose a user type and click Edit
- Choose the Work Request Access Type you'd like to edit
- Check Can edit after resolution
- Click Save
Community Registration
Organizations can use a separate FMX registration URL specifically for community members. This will add any new user that registers with this URL into a preselected User Type, and organizations can display any registration agreement terms on this page.
How to set it up:
- Navigate to Admin Settings
- Under General, find Community Settings
- Select Enable community registration
- Select the Initial User Type that registrants will be assigned to
- Optional: Add in any terms in Registration agreement (this will appear at the bottom of the registration form)
- Hit Save
- Your organization's community registration URL can be found at: https://hostname.gofmx.com/register-community-member
Note: Ensure you have Allow a new user to register their own account selected under Account Registration. Additionally, organizations using SSO will see an error when attempting to register through the community link.
Scheduling Periods
Organizations can now create and save Scheduling Periods for common event times. This can help organizations standardize event requests and schedules based on these pre-saved time slots. Specific User Types can also be defaulted to use Scheduling Periods instead of creating their own event times.
How to set it up:
- Navigate to Admin Settings
- Under General, find Schedule Request Settings
- Navigate to Scheduling periods
- Enter the period title, start, and finish time. Use + to add additional periods
- Hit Save
To apply Scheduling Periods as the default time option for a User Type, follow these steps:
- Navigate to Admin Settings
- Navigate to User Types and select edit on the type you want to adjust
- Navigate to Schedule Request Access
- Select Default to period-based
- Hit Save
Scheduling Rate Types
Organizations can now set a default rate type to a specific user type and tie these rate types to Locations or Resources. This allows organizations to better configure different rates and provide more specific estimates for Schedule Requests.
How to set it up:
- Navigate to Admin Settings
- Under General, find Schedule Request Settings
- Navigate to Schedule rate types and enter the different rate type titles
- Hit Save
To apply to specific User Types:
- Navigate to User Types
- Select the User Type you want to adjust and hit Edit
- Navigate to Schedule Request Access
- Select the rate you would like to make the default for the User Type
- Hit Save
